Imogen Cunningham
Holding the Violin
I like the detail I was able to capture in the hand and the contrast in the strings compared to the body of the violin. The finger position and background are different than Cunningham's, but are similar enough to compare. I find that my image has more detail and there is more contrast between the violin and the background. The angle in how the violin is held is different, but I enjoy both my version and Cunningham's |

Bright Calla Lily
This was the only Calla Lily I could find. Even though it doesn't have the same swirling effect like Cunningham's has I did my best to replicate it. I was able to capture the same angle and some of the shadows. |

Japanese Maple
I enjoy how clearly you can see the veins of the leaves. Even though I was unable to get the same type of plant for the image, I feel like I chose one that was similar enough. The veins in my image are much darker compared to Cunningham's. When I tried making the veins lighter, it distorted the rest of the image so I kept it how it was. I also decided to not crop it down as much as hers because I liked the shadow and the spots on the leaves. |
